Even a casual oath uttered by them is honored by Allah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) highlighted the exceptional status of companions like Abu Huraira and Abu Dharr, equating observing Abu Dharr with witnessing the arrival of Jesus (peace be upon him). These individuals represent the truly successful and blessed.

The concept of *ubudiyat* (devotion) encompasses two essential elements: the utmost love and complete submission. True devotion is achieved when both reach their peak, uniting in a profound connection with the Divine. This lecture emphasizes that devotion is fundamentally rooted in intense love for God, coupled with total surrender and humility before Him. These two aspects are inextricably linked; one cannot exist without the other. The complete yielding of self, and an absolute devotion, are the hallmarks of genuine worship.

The Quran states that true believers possess an intense love for God. This love surpasses all other affections, even those for family. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized that complete faith is unattainable unless he is more beloved to a person than their father, son, or all of humanity. This love is not merely an emotion but is manifested through obedience. However, obedience becomes true worship only when performed with a sincere and passionate devotion to God, driven by the spirit of divine love. It is the inner feeling of love that transforms acts of worship into a meaningful connection with the Divine.

The establishment of the Caliphate signifies the sovereignty of God and the end of human rule, which is considered the greatest form of idolatry. Until the Caliphate is re-established, shirk (associating partners with God) persists through human governance. These two are inextricably linked; a person’s beliefs and ideas manifest in their actions, ethics, and dealings. Correct action stems from sound thinking; flawed foundations lead to flawed outcomes. Limited thought results in limited action and character. A skewed initial approach inevitably leads to a distorted final result.
