The Quran states that true believers possess an intense love for God. This love surpasses all other affections, even those for family. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized that complete faith is unattainable unless he is more beloved to a person than their father, son, or all of humanity. This love is not merely an emotion but is manifested through obedience. However, obedience becomes true worship only when performed with a sincere and passionate devotion to God, driven by the spirit of divine love. It is the inner feeling of love that transforms acts of worship into a meaningful connection with the Divine.
Dr. Israr Ahmad discusses the future establishment of a global caliphate rooted in the prophetic tradition. He references prophecies indicating a time when the message of Islam will permeate every corner of the earth, reaching all of humanity. He describes a vision where no home or dwelling will remain untouched by the teachings of Islam, and that his community will govern the entirety of the earth, having witnessed its eastern and western reaches in a divine revelation.
The Quran is uniquely preserved compared to all other texts. The world’s scholars acknowledge this fact. Every letter and pronunciation within the various recorded recitations – Sab’a Qira’at and ‘Ashara Qira’at – is meticulously documented, detailing even the use of *zabar* or *zir* for each word. Despite over fourteen centuries of diverse interpretations and the geographical spread of Muslims from Indonesia to Mauritania, the fundamental structure of prayer remains consistent. Differences exist in the interpretation of specific details like the number of rak'ahs, the precise pronunciation of words, and whether to say ‘ameen’ aloud or silently. However, the core ritual – standing, bowing, prostrating, and returning to standing – is universally observed. This unity across various schools of thought – including Shia, Sunni, Barelvi, Deobandi, and Kharijites – demonstrates the blessings of following the Sunnah, ensuring that the congregation remains unbroken despite differences in practice.
Dr. Israr Ahmad explains that indirect interest (andariki sood) permeates modern life, extending beyond direct loans to encompass nearly all commodities due to interest-based funding at various stages of production. He argues that even consuming basic necessities like wheat involves participating in a system fueled by interest. The only atonement for this unavoidable involvement is a dedicated effort to transform the existing system into one that eradicates interest completely. He stresses that escaping the pervasive influence of indirect interest is impossible without systemic change.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) serves as the best example for those who believe in God and the Day of Judgement, and who consistently remember God. The Quran provides guidance for all, but only those who are pious and fulfill specific conditions—faith in God and the afterlife, and constant remembrance of God—will truly benefit. This lecture highlights the Prophet’s life as a complete argument for humanity. The establishment of Islam's social justice system was achieved through persistent effort, hardship, sacrifice, patience, perseverance, and resilience, not through miracles or divine comforts. The example of the Battle of Tabuk demonstrates the dedication of early Muslims, even sharing meager rations to support one another. This is the essence of the Prophet’s legacy.
