He further warned that supporting a corrupt individual strengthens their wrongdoing and invites divine displeasure, even causing the divine throne to tremble. These teachings emphasize the importance of adhering to authentic Islamic principles and rejecting deviations.
Every individual is a vicegerent of God on Earth. Establishing divine governance begins with self-governance. Humans are entrusted with physical and intellectual capabilities as a divine deposit. The ‘self’—whether termed ego, soul, or *ruh*—is the actual vicegerent on this body, responsible for aligning one's existence, emotions, desires, and aspirations with God’s commands. This personal implementation of divine principles is the foundational requirement of vicegerency for every person.
The Quran places significant emphasis on the performance of Salah (prayer) and Zakat (charity), repeatedly outlining their importance. While instructions regarding fasting and Hajj are present, the Quran dedicates numerous verses to Salah and Zakat. The complete rulings on fasting are concentrated within six verses of Surah Baqarah, while mentions of fasting elsewhere primarily relate to expiation. Fasting, as an independent pillar of Islam, lacks the same consistent, detailed emphasis as Salah and Zakat throughout the Quran.
