This lecture challenges conventional definitions of success, which often equate it with wealth, property, or business expansion. It asserts that true success lies beyond material possessions and external achievements. The speaker contends that societal perceptions of success are flawed, and genuine fulfillment stems from something deeper than worldly gains. The core message emphasizes a shift in perspective, urging listeners to redefine success based on intrinsic values rather than external metrics.
Our core belief regarding the Quran is threefold. First, the Quran is the direct word of God. Second, it was revealed to Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. Third, it is perfectly preserved, complete and unaltered, with God Himself guaranteeing its protection. These three statements encapsulate our fundamental understanding of the Quran.
On the Day of Judgement, disbelievers will lament their past actions, begging for a second chance to worship and obey God, promising to abstain from evil. They will be reminded of how they mocked the early believers – the poor, slaves, and needy – who were steadfast in their faith. God declares He has rewarded their patience today, affirming they are the true victors and will enter Paradise. This highlights the ultimate triumph of faith over worldly status and the importance of perseverance in the face of adversity.
The month of Rabi ul Awwal holds deep significance in the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). His birth and death both occurred in this blessed month, though the exact date of his birth is debated, with many scholars suggesting the 9th of Rabi ul Awwal. Historically, the 12th of Rabi ul Awwal was observed as a day of remembrance of his passing, involving charitable acts. Over time, this has evolved into a celebratory event. While the original Islamic festivals have diminished in prominence, new observances like Mawlid al-Nabi and Pakistan Independence Day have gained greater visibility. The Prophet’s arrival in Medina also occurred in Rabi ul Awwal. Focusing on the life and teachings of the Prophet during this month, without fixating on specific dates, encourages reflection, practical application, and emulation of his example, potentially offering solutions to contemporary problems.
The Quran was the instrument of revolution brought by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It transformed minds, altered beliefs, and reshaped value systems. Before, life was the most cherished possession; now, martyrdom is the most welcomed. This revolution, initiated by a single individual, prioritized striving in the way of God over material gain. Surah Al-Furqan emphasizes the directive to not heed the disbelievers and to wage a great struggle through the Quran. The Quran itself was the greatest sword in the hands of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
This lecture emphasizes that assisting others in their needs is a direct path to receiving divine help. True service isn't about expecting reward from people, but establishing a sincere connection with God. When a person dedicates themselves to God’s purpose, divine assistance is guaranteed. This assistance manifests through fulfilling essential needs – faith, certainty, and trust in God. A genuine connection with God is fostered by inner reflection and the unwavering belief that God will never abandon those who turn to Him sincerely.
