Dr. Israr Ahmad warns of a time when the Muslim community will be left with only the name of Islam, and the Quran will be reduced to its calligraphy and letters. These scholars will be the source and destination of fitna (discord), promoting sectarianism and exacerbating differences among Muslims. The text details the events of the Battle of Karbala. Twenty families from the Banu Hashim clan fought bravely alongside Imam Hussain, sacrificing their lives. The battle saw intense fighting, with many from the Banu Hashim martyred. A young child of Imam Hussain was also among the martyrs. All male members of Imam Hussain's household were killed except for his son, Ali Zayn al-Abidin, who was ill and unable to participate. This occurred in 61 AH, exactly fifty years after the passing of the Prophet Muhammad.

When the Prophet Muhammad arrived in Medina, he observed that the Jewish community fasted on the tenth of Muharram (Ashura), commemorating the day the Israelites were saved from Pharaoh and his army. They explained this was a day of thanksgiving. The Prophet stated that Muslims, as followers of Moses, had a greater right to commemorate this event. He instructed Muslims to fast on both the ninth and tenth of Muharram to distinguish themselves from the Jews, who only fasted on the tenth. This practice marks the beginning of observing days of worship based on the traditions of earlier communities present in Medina.

The loss of modesty (hayā) correlates directly with a decline in faith (īmān). This internal restraint, a natural human quality instilled by God, protects individuals from immoral acts. When this protective barrier is removed through sin, such as adultery, internal restrictions dissolve, leading to unrestrained behavior and a visible deterioration of character. The natural human quality of modesty is an integral part of faith; its absence reveals inner corruption, much like the discharge from a festering wound.
