803 - AT TAKASUR (Ayat# 01-08) surah end
The human pursuit of wealth often persists even in the face of mortality, continuing until the confines of the grave. This inherent desire does not diminish with worldly possessions but is ultimately measured by one’s deeds. This concept represents a final stage in life, a realization that dawns with death itself. The Quranic verse from Surah Jumu'ah highlights the inevitability of death, stating that even in attempts to flee it, death will inevitably arrive. This reality becomes clear through stages of understanding, categorized as ‘Ilm al-Yaqeen’ (knowledge of certainty), ‘Ayn al-Yaqeen’ (witnessing certainty), and ‘Haqq al-Yaqeen’ (experiential certainty). ‘Ilm al-Yaqeen’ is akin to inferring a fire from its smoke, ‘Ayn al-Yaqeen’ is directly witnessing it, and ‘Haqq al-Yaqeen’ is experiencing its heat firsthand. The ultimate experience is the reckoning on the Day of Judgment, where individuals will be questioned about the blessings they received and how they utilized them.
